In the 21st minute of the match, Libardo Medrano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Guardado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Miguel Coreas came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Wymondham AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Coreas couldn't finish the play. Miguel Coreas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Rafael Alas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Victorino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avilio Salguero during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venganza getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Avilio Salguero hit a great ball. Libardo Medrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Venganza got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Mayen. Rolando Guardado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Félix Erazo in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute Christian Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Victorino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Libardo Medrano to strike the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Victorino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Alas in the 67th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Libardo Medrano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Guardado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes Wymondham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Rivero. In the 79th minute, Christian Martinez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Coreas in the 82nd minute of play forced Venganza's goalkeeper Rolando Guardado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Libardo Medrano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
