The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Alvarenga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Futbol Club Astros's Rudy Verdugo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Enrique Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Bran in the 33rd minute of play. If David Bran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorino Castillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Enrique Alvarenga made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Bran to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, David Bran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Futbol Club Astros's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Castillo came free, but Enrique Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
