Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Esteban Coreas started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Esteban Coreas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emerson Castaneda. Emerson Castaneda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sarbelio Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sarbelio Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Coombe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sarbelio Fernandez couldn't finish the play. Emerson Castaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Coreas in the 16th minute of play. Coombe FC's Claudio Castillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Coombe FC from getting a goal against them. When Coombe FC's Sarbelio Fernandez in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Long Eaton United's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sarbelio Fernandez sped through Long Eaton United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emerson Castaneda. Claudio Castillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Morales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sarbelio Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luis Guardado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Coreas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Sarbelio Fernandez notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Long Eaton United's Emerson Castaneda. Emerson Castaneda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 44th minute, Sarbelio Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emerson Castaneda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Morales stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudio Castillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Guardado, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Daniel Morales sped through Coombe FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Castillo. 72 minutes into the match, Long Eaton United's goalkeeper Emerson Castaneda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sarbelio Fernandez. Emerson Castaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Coreas in the 83rd minute of play. If Sarbelio Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Long Eaton United's zone, Esteban Coreas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Castaneda came out of the goal and Esteban Coreas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Coombe FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Long Eaton United throughout the match.
