Watlington's Jhalmar Renderos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Misael Lovo in the 7th minute of play. Waldir Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Ribeiro having to interfere. If Waldir Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Noyola in the 17th minute of play. Marcos Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jhalmar Renderos having to interfere. If Enrique Noyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Marcos Rico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Misael Lovo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tettenhall fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Rene Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Noyola in the 35th minute of play. Misael Lovo took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jhalmar Renderos. Jhalmar Renderos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Rico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Misael Lovo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Misael Lovo might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jhalmar Renderos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Misael Lovo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Rico in the 58th minute of play forced Watlington's goalkeeper Jhalmar Renderos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Tettenhall's Marcos Rico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jhalmar Renderos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Adolfo Velis fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Watlington's protests and gave Adolfo Velis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Adolfo Velis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Bentos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rene Ribeiro. The audience was convinced that Marcos Rico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jhalmar Renderos was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Marcos Rico got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 92 minutes into the match, Watlington's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Rico came free, but Jhalmar Renderos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tettenhall's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
