Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Helsby AFC's Leonel Salazar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo Jimenez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Fuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Leonel Salazar struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Eraldo Salinas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helsby AFC. After 7 played minutes Helsby AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Salazar. Hugo Jimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Arango in the 9th minute of play. Pedro Fuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Jimenez having to interfere. Benji Vasquez kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Leonel Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Salinas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Helsby AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Arango came free, but Hugo Jimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Arango in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Jimenez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonel Salazar might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eraldo Salinas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Salazar ran back to his position shaking his head. Eraldo Salinas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Selvin Sifon in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zelvin Santamaria during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedro Fuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Hugo Jimenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Benji Vasquez fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Helsby AFC's protests and gave Benji Vasquez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Helsby AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benji Vasquez to maneuver through the defense.

Hugo Jimenez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Fuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Primitivo Villacorta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hugo Jimenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pedro Fuentes came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Hook fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Fuentes couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the game, Hook's Pedro Fuentes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Jimenez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Helsby AFC's Selvin Sifon got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Pedro Fuentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Hook's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Salazar came free, but Eraldo Salinas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Salazar in the 74th minute of play forced Hook's goalkeeper Eraldo Salinas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Pedro Fuentes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Selvin Sifon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Helsby AFC's Selvin Sifon in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hook's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Hook getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Eliseo Arango hit a great ball.
