The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo Menjivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Carranza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Menjivar in the 7th minute of the match. Mario Carranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Menjivar in the 9th minute of play. Hugo Escobar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Rivero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Escobar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odir Bustamante in the 16th minute. Filey AFC's Hugo Escobar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Filey AFC from getting a goal against them. Calverley United were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Filey AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alonso Palencia took the corner. The corner ended in Alonso Palencia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Filey AFC's Hugo Escobar did a great save. If Julio Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Calverley United getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Andrés Garay hit a great ball. Julio Montes scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mario Carranza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 minutes of play, Calverley United's Odir Bustamante made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Escobar was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Hugo Escobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odir Bustamante in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Odir Bustamante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Escobar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odir Bustamante in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Escobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Odir Bustamante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Fidel Pineda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Filey AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calverley United the free kick. Fidel Pineda kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Odir Bustamante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Carranza having to interfere. Hugo Escobar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odir Bustamante, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Filey AFC's zone, Efrain Rivero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Escobar came out of the goal and Efrain Rivero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Escobar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odir Bustamante, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Efrain Rivero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Escobar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Efrain Rivero went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Odir Bustamante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Hugo Escobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calverley United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
