A collision led to Filey AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Pedro Arango hit a great ball. Hugo Menjivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josue Flores having to interfere. Cesar Zapata hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Clevedon FC's goalkeeper Josue Flores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Menjivar. When Victor Granados came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Clevedon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Granados couldn't finish the play. Hugo Escobar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Granados, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filey AFC's Hugo Escobar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Filey AFC from getting a goal against them. Julio Montes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josue Flores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
