The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Josue Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Rivero, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Josue Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Rivero in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Efrain Rivero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Clevedon FC's Josue Flores. Josue Flores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Victor Granados sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Odir Bustamante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josue Flores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Menjivar in the 24th minute of play forced Calverley United's goalkeeper Mario Carranza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Victor Granados managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clevedon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Granados was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Clevedon FC booed when Calverley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Cerritos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Rivero in the 43rd minute of play forced Clevedon FC's goalkeeper Josue Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Odir Bustamante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josue Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Odir Bustamante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josue Flores having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Efrain Rivero made the kick off in the second half. Josue Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Cerritos, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Clevedon FC's Josue Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Rivero in the 64th minute of play. Efrain Rivero was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Calverley United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clevedon FC's goalkeeper Josue Flores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Efrain Rivero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 played minutes Clevedon FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Zapata. With his leg Josue Flores managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Calverley United's Odir Bustamante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Josue Flores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efrain Baptista in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Clevedon FC's Benjamín Valenzuela got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Efrain Rivero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Benjamín Valenzuela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clevedon FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calverley United the free kick. Benjamín Valenzuela kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Odir Bustamante notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Clevedon FC's Josue Flores. Josue Flores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Calverley United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
