Franklin Olmedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Alvaro Hurtado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 12 minutes, Franklin Olmedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Purbrook FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franklin Olmedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Llorente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Alvaro Hurtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benji Magaña struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Andrés Rosales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paignton. Andrés Rosales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Torres in the 19th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Paignton got a freekick which was hit by Henry Bermudez. In the 25th minute of the match Benjamín Ancheta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Hurtado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Douglas Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Torres struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Andrés Rosales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paignton. Andrés Rosales didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Douglas Torres went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Franklin Olmedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Purbrook FC's Andrés Rosales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benji Magaña in the 40th minute of play. Alvaro Hurtado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franklin Olmedo in the 48th minute. After the first half Paignton were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Douglas Torres made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Purbrook FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Will Pineda hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Martinez during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Paignton booed when Purbrook FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paignton's Benji Magaña got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrés Rosales had great luck who in the 57thth minute grab hold of the ball when Douglas Torres from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Andrés Rosales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
