In the 20th minute Jairo Valenzuela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Bautista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Valenzuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Edwin Bautista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edwin Bautista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Valenzuela went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Francisco Boianelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Southport's goalkeeper Edwin Bautista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Hector Corpeño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edwin Bautista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Valenzuela in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Southport's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Valenzuela came free, but Edwin Bautista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Croston FC's zone, Edgar Dubon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrés Castaneda came out of the goal and Edgar Dubon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Croston FC booed when Southport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Corpeño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Valenzuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Edgar Dubon managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 73rdth minute of the game Edgar Dubon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croston FC's Andrés Castaneda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgar Dubon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Castaneda having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Croston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Dubon came free, but Andrés Castaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Southport booed when Croston FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Osorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes, Southport's Enrique Rico shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andrés Castaneda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Southport reached it. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Southport's goalkeeper Edwin Bautista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Southport's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Valenzuela came free, but Edwin Bautista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidio Vinosis's late challenge caught a Southport's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidio Vinosis helped the player get up and apologised. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Croston FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
