The supporters of Whitchurch booed when Polperro City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Velis couldn't finish the play. With his leg Sarbelio Pineda managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Polperro City's Felipe Arango fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Polperro City's Felipe Arango, in the 32nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Polperro City. Leonel Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Jhalmar Larios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Velis in the 37th minute of play. Leonel Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felipe Arango might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sarbelio Pineda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Arango ran back to his position shaking his head. If Wilmer Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
