Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Félix Alfaro started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Ladislao Moreno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Sanchez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, CATEDRATICOS's Arnoldo Noyola got a free kick in the 6th minute. When Paolo Oporto came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ambleside FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Oporto couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in CATEDRATICOS's zone, Ladislao Rojas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Cetino came out of the goal and Ladislao Rojas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Moreno in the 15th minute of play. Paolo Oporto might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Cetino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paolo Oporto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute, Ambleside FC's Ladislao Rojas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rene Cetino. Rene Cetino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. CATEDRATICOS's Rene Cetino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save CATEDRATICOS from getting a goal against them. After 22 played minutes CATEDRATICOS got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Noyola. Salvador Barraza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Cetino had great luck who in the 27thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ladislao Rojas from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 28th match minute, CATEDRATICOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Umaña to maneuver through the defense. Rene Cetino acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Salvador Barraza. If Ladislao Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Cetino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Rojas, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ladislao Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Cristian Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Félix Alfaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of CATEDRATICOS booed when Ambleside FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Cetino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Oporto got free with Rene Cetino in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Rojas made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Félix Alfaro in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Sanchez saved Ambleside FC from getting behind. If Ladislao Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Cristian Sanchez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Ambleside FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Josue Rivas hit a great ball. Ladislao Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Sanchez having to interfere. CATEDRATICOS's Rene Cetino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Oporto in the 67th minute of play. Paolo Oporto struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rene Cetino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ambleside FC. In the 75th minute, Arnoldo Noyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladislao Rojas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Paolo Oporto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 played minutes CATEDRATICOS got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Noyola. Rene Cetino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Rojas in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Ladislao Rojas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Cetino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sanchez made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Ladislao Moreno sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th match minute, Ambleside FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Rojas to maneuver through the defense. If Ladislao Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Oporto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
