The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 4 in the game by Ladislao Moreno from a close distance when the talented Allan Flamenco managed to make a qualified save. Daventry's players were relieved. When Rolando Murgas came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Daventry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Murgas couldn't finish the play. Eraldo Guerra's late challenge caught a CATEDRATICOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Moreno got free with Allan Flamenco in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th match minute, Daventry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Lima to maneuver through the defense. Félix Alfaro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. CATEDRATICOS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 30th minute Félix Alfaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Flamenco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Misael Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rene Cetino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Misael Rico in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Cetino saved CATEDRATICOS from getting behind. Ulises Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Moreno got free with Allan Flamenco in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rene Cetino made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Rolando Murgas sent off a good shot on target. If Félix Alfaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Rolando Murgas made a precise shot to the right of Rene Cetino. CATEDRATICOS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. CATEDRATICOS's Rene Cetino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Misael Rico in the 73rd minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Félix Alfaro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Daventry's Allan Flamenco. Allan Flamenco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Félix Alfaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in CATEDRATICOS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Daventry. Nelson Cortez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rene Cetino. 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Daventry had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
