Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cesar Victorino took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jhonnatan Canales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Moreno's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, Jairo Moreno reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jhonnatan Canales. The goal made the score 1-0. After some careless play in the Kesgrave defense, Cesar Victorino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Avilio Coreas. The Kesgrave fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Avilio Coreas should have stopped the shot. After 24 minutes of play, Shrewsbury's Cesar Victorino made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Avilio Coreas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ladislao Bautista succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 27th playminute. In the 31st minute Agustin Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avilio Coreas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Shrewsbury's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Moreno came free, but Jhonnatan Canales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Shrewsbury getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jose Rico hit a great ball. Omar Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Agustin Santana sped through Kesgrave's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Avilio Coreas. When Shrewsbury's Cesar Victorino in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kesgrave's goalie prevented a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jairo Moreno made a kick off. Omar Ocampo was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Kesgrave's Omar Ocampo got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Agustin Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shrewsbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Avilio Coreas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Avilio Coreas was a little too slow when Cesar Victorino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 2-4. In the 65th minute Cesar Victorino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avilio Coreas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Victorino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesar Victorino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Avilio Coreas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Jairo Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rdth minute of the game Cesar Victorino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kesgrave's Avilio Coreas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Danilo Berrueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, Danilo Berrueta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kesgrave's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shrewsbury the free kick. After 79 played minutes Kesgrave got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Berrueta. Agustin Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jhonnatan Canales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Bautista in the 86th minute of the match. When Cesar Victorino fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shrewsbury's protests and gave Cesar Victorino a yellow card for diving instead. Cesar Victorino kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Shrewsbury supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Shrewsbury would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
