Chorleywood's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 30 played minutes Gerrards Cross FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Mayen. Chorleywood's Edgar Mendez got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Marcos Villalobos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Orellana in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Christian Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edgar Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Corrales stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the game, Marcelo Orellana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Oswaldo Torres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Christian Alvarenga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oswaldo Torres having to make a save. Mauro Del Carmen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Christian Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Christian Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Gerrards Cross FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Ventura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Oswaldo Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerrards Cross FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
