If Esteban Peña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 8 minutes, Carlos Victorino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nottingham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Victorino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felipe Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Molina having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Nottingham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Del Carmen to maneuver through the defense. Nottingham's Elias Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Moreira in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Carlos Victorino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nottingham's Elias Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Peña in the 25th minute of play. When Halstead FC's Esteban Peña in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Elias Molina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Moreira in the 39th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Halstead FC's goalkeeper Patricio Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Erazo. If Carlos Victorino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 48 minutes into the game, Ovidio Talia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Halstead FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nottingham the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Victorino made a kick off. Felipe Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Molina having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Gabriel Erazo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Victorino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes Halstead FC got a freekick which was hit by Max Najarro. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Halstead FC's goalkeeper Patricio Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Peña in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Molina saved Nottingham from getting behind. Halstead FC's Felipe Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Erazo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patricio Santana saved Halstead FC from getting behind. 89 minutes into the match, Halstead FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Victorino came free, but Patricio Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Nottingham's Elias Molina got control of the ball when Felipe Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elias Molina made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Felipe Moreira sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Victorino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Santana having to interfere. If Gabriel Erazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Halstead FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
