When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Rolando Salguero took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Omar Duarte to make any attempt to save it. In the 12th minute Alfredo Baptista suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of Bacup FC booed when Archway FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Ancheta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudy Valenzuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Abraham Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudy Valenzuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Archway FC's Luis Costas got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bacup FC's zone, Rolando Salguero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Duarte came out of the goal and Rolando Salguero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Costas might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Costas ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ancheta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Omar Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolando Salguero made a kick off. Omar Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Salguero, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Archway FC's Misael Suarez got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 62 played minutes Bacup FC got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Alas. Rolando Salguero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Omar Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Rolando Salguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the Archway FC and the Bacup FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Archway FC's Richard Del Carmen got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Milton Figueroa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Archway FC's Abraham Gomez didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Salguero in the 96th minute of play forced Bacup FC's goalkeeper Omar Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Archway FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bacup FC for a fine match.
