In the 16th minute, Angel Pimentel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Peña having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Mevagissey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Jimenez to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Mariano Cortez fired a really elegant long shot, but Ismael Arango threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. A hard shot 27 in the game by Wilber Meza from a close distance when the talented Ismael Arango managed to make a qualified save. Mevagissey's players were relieved. Gabriel Peña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Machado in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jersey St Aubin City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victorino Pedrozo was slow to take the kick. During this time Mevagissey's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mevagissey's Victorino Pedrozo to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Peña despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 44th minute, Ulises Boianelli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ismael Arango, passed just outside the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ricardo Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mevagissey had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
