Lorenzo Mejia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl Carrillo's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Francisco Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Sevenoaks's Augusto Medrano got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41stth minute of the game Pedro Collado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farnsfield City's Guillermo Alfaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Farnsfield City's zone, Augusto Medrano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Alfaro came out of the goal and Augusto Medrano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilber Llorente to make the kick off. Sevenoaks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Farnsfield City the free kick. Libardo Lovo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Libardo Lovo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Oscar Padilla fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Farnsfield City's protests and gave Oscar Padilla a yellow card for diving instead.
