The referee ignored Jersey St Aubin's protests and gave Paolo Villatoro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Jersey St Aubin's Paolo Villatoro got a free kick in the 4th minute. Orlando Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Alvaro Pimentel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Will Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Jersey St Aubin's Guillermo Noyola got a free kick in the 11th minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malton United reached it. Alvaro Pimentel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Rivas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Misael Najarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute of the match Alexander Velis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Pimentel skillfully saved the ball. Jersey St Aubin's Lorenzo Ramirez got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Will Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. Lorenzo Ramirez scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin Espindola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Carmelo Viscarra fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 59th minute, Lorenzo Ramirez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edwin Espindola was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 63rd minute Misael Najarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Pimentel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Misael Najarro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Pimentel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. If Lorenzo Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edwin Espindola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Ramirez in the 80th minute of the match. If Carmelo Viscarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Malton United booed when Jersey St Aubin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Galeas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jersey St Aubin's Alvaro Pimentel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Jersey St Aubin from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Malton United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Francisco Rivas was slow to take the kick. During this time Jersey St Aubin's players had a chance to rest. Jersey St Aubin's Francisco Rivas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwin Espindola in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Orlando Rivas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Guillermo Noyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jersey St Aubin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malton United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
