In the 2nd match minute, Stratford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Selvin Valenzuela to maneuver through the defense. William Larios kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Waldir Del Cid heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Stratford's Jhonnatan Bautista got a free kick in the 11th minute. Julio Paz charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Paz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stratford! In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Borehamwood United. Pedro Portillo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andrés Escobar. 0-1. A collision led to Borehamwood United getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Benji Bautista hit a great ball. Alexis Lovo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Escobar having to interfere. When Angel Palencia came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Stratford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Palencia couldn't finish the play. Marvin Alas might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulises Ramirez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marvin Alas ran back to his position shaking his head. Benji Bautista was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After recieving a nice pass, Stratford's Ivan Ulloa tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute Marvin Alas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Ramirez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marvin Alas in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulises Ramirez saved Borehamwood United from getting behind. In the 36th match minute, Borehamwood United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Pineda to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Angel Palencia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Marvin Alas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stratford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marvin Alas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrés Escobar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Lovo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.
The wind increased when Alexis Lovo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alexis Lovo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexis Lovo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 played minutes Stratford got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Ulloa. Raúl Pineda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Andrés Escobar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Angel Palencia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Borehamwood United defense, Marvin Alas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulises Ramirez. The Borehamwood United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulises Ramirez should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the game, Selvin Valenzuela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stratford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borehamwood United the free kick. Selvin Valenzuela hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Waldir Del Cid hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Alas in the 85th minute of play forced Borehamwood United's goalkeeper Ulises Ramirez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexis Lovo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Andrés Escobar made a huge save. In the 89th minute Marvin Alas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Ramirez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Alexis Lovo could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Andrés Escobar however easily saved by the left post. If Alexis Lovo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexis Lovos short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Andrés Escobar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
