Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jhalmar Mendoza started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Jhalmar Mendoza notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bridlington's Hugo Larios. Hugo Larios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leopoldo Machado's late challenge caught a Bridlington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Machado helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Leigh United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Leopoldo Machado hit a great ball. Hugo Larios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhalmar Mendoza in the 12th minute of the match. Efren Lovos short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Christian Hinguanzo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Efren Lovo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hinguanzo having to interfere. When Bridlington's Milton Villanueva in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leigh United's goalie prevented a goal. Ernesto Castaneda kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leigh United's zone, Milton Villanueva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Hinguanzo came out of the goal and Milton Villanueva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Milton Villanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hinguanzo having to interfere. Bridlington's Hugo Larios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhalmar Mendoza in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Bridlington's Milton Villanueva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christian Hinguanzo. Christian Hinguanzo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After some careless play in the Bridlington defense, Leopoldo Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Larios. The Bridlington fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Larios should have stopped the shot. Bridlington's Hugo Larios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhalmar Mendoza in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Milton Villanueva to make the kick off. With his leg Hugo Larios managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Leigh United's Leopoldo Machado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Efren Lovo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hinguanzo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efren Lovo in the 66th minute of play forced Leigh United's goalkeeper Christian Hinguanzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Efren Lovo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Hinguanzo. Leigh United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efren Lovo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After having played for 69 minutes, Efren Lovo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bridlington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efren Lovo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Leigh United's Emiliano Braun got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Leigh United's Leopoldo Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Bridlington got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Escalante. Thanks to some nice moves Leopoldo Machado could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Hugo Larios however easily saved by the left post. After 82 minutes, Omar Palencia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bridlington and the Leigh United players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Ernesto Castaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
