Alberto Peña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Hernández having to interfere. Alberto Peña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jonathan Hernández tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Libardo Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matlock's supporters rose to their feet, but Libardo Amaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Hernández breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Villatoro's late challenge caught a Matlock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac Villatoro helped the player get up and apologised. Isaac Villatoro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Libardo Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Teign City's Augusto Umaña got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 23rd match minute, Teign City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amilcar Quijada to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Arellano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Guerra having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Matlock's Andrés Alvarenga got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 32nd minute Alberto Peña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Peña, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A hard shot 40 in the game by Roberto Arellano from a close distance when the talented Julio Guerra managed to make a qualified save. Matlock's players were relieved. After 41 played minutes Teign City got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Gallegos. Matlock's Ramon Baptista couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Teign City. Roberto Arellano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Julio Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Del Carmen kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Umaña in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Umaña was the one to do the kick off. Julio Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Umaña in the 53rd minute of the match. After 60 minutes of play, Teign City's Roberto Arellano made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Umaña in the 72nd minute of play. Julio Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Arellano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Gallegos hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Augusto Umaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Libardo Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jonathan Hernández tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Andrés Alvarenga suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 93rd match minute, Matlock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Brizuela to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Isaac Villatoro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Matlock's Julio Guerra didn't even have to move. In the 96th minute, Augusto Umaña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Teign City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Matlock had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
