If Odir Villacorta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eraldo Gallegos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Odir Villacorta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Arnoldo Arango tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ashton Under Hill getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Joselito Contrera hit a great ball. Arnoldo Arango took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odir Villacorta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoldo Arango made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Gallegos in the 25th minute of play. Ashton Under Hill's Odir Villacorta got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rony Del Cid struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Angel Toledano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yateley AFC. Angel Toledano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erick Martinez's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Eraldo Gallegos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Arango saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joselito Contrera kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Abraham Carrillo had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Joselito Contrera charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joselito Contrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Yateley AFC booed when Ashton Under Hill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joselito Contrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eraldo Gallegos to make the kick off. Odir Villacorta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Arango having to interfere. In the 59th minute Eraldo Gallegos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Arango saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Odir Villacorta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yateley AFC's Arnoldo Arango played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Gallegos in the 94th minute of play. The Ashton Under Hill supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ashton Under Hill would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
