Abraham Carballo might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Bonilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abraham Carballo ran back to his position shaking his head. Emerson Peña struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Enrique Bonilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Accrington AFC. Avilio Reyes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Ayala went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 22nd match minute, Verwood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Olmedo to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Bonilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benji Quintanilla in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Verwood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Ayala to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Verwood booed when Accrington AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Accrington AFC's protests and gave Rony Díaz a yellow card for diving instead. Enrique Bonilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benji Quintanilla in the 42nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benji Quintanilla in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Bonilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrique Bonilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Peña in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fidel Salazar made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Rony Díaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Accrington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rony Díaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Bonilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Bonilla was a little too slow when Benji Quintanilla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verwood's goalkeeper Enrique Bonilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Accrington AFC booed when Verwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian García didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Benji Quintanilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Accrington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benji Quintanilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Verwood's Enrique Bonilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Verwood from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Verwood's zone, Abraham Carballo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Bonilla came out of the goal and Abraham Carballo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fidel Salazar hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson Peña got free with Enrique Bonilla in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abraham Carballo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Bonilla having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Abraham Carballo made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Bonilla. Verwood's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Verwood's zone, Yasir Renderos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Bonilla came out of the goal and Yasir Renderos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Omar Navarro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Accrington AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verwood the free kick. Omar Navarro hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
