Ivan Medrano made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Emerson Peña sent off a good shot on target. Abraham Carballo's late challenge caught a West Bridgford AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abraham Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Huezo in the 28th minute of play forced Accrington AFC's goalkeeper Avilio Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. West Bridgford AFC's Alexander Uranga suffered a sprained foot after 30 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 30 minutes, Yasir Renderos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Accrington AFC and the West Bridgford AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marvin Huezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emerson Peña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ivan Medrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony Díaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 40 minutes into the match, West Bridgford AFC's goalkeeper Ivan Medrano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Peña. Abraham Carballo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, West Bridgford AFC's goalkeeper Ivan Medrano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Moreno. Ivan Medrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Carballo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marvin Huezo made a kick off. Dennys Gutierrez charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennys Gutierrez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd minute, Dennys Gutierrez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Medrano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Peña in the 53rd minute of the match. Benji Quintanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Medrano having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Emerson Peña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Medrano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 61st minute, Emerson Peña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltazar Moreno in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Medrano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emerson Peña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ivan Medrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in West Bridgford AFC's zone, Benji Quintanilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Medrano came out of the goal and Benji Quintanilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benji Quintanilla in the 72nd minute of play forced West Bridgford AFC's goalkeeper Ivan Medrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Baltazar Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Accrington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltazar Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76thth minute of the game Benji Quintanilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Bridgford AFC's Ivan Medrano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cristian Pérez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marvin Huezo fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored West Bridgford AFC's protests and gave Marvin Huezo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Marvin Huezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emerson Peña in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Medrano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Baltazar Moreno made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Medrano. West Bridgford AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Emerson Peña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Accrington AFC's Cristian Pérez got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the referee ended the match the Accrington AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
