Jairo Gallardo came out of the goal and Josue Escalante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 27 played minutes Avebury United got a freekick which was hit by Jose Muñoz. Dennys Alfaro in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Douglas Bustamante, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avebury United's goalkeeper Jairo Gallardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josue Escalante was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Great Totham AFC's Josue Escalante slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jairo Gallardo. That made the score 2-3 after 92 minutes of play. The supporters of Avebury United booed when Great Totham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Avebury United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Great Totham AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
