Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Efren Henriquez got the match started through his kick off. Amilcar Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joselito Flamenco in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Great Totham's zone, Isaac Hinguanzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Canales came out of the goal and Isaac Hinguanzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gomersal's Amilcar Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Brizuela in the 8th minute of play. Richard Canales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Hinguanzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Isaac Hinguanzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Amilcar Ayala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Canales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efren Henriquez in the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Gomersal's Isaac Hinguanzo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Richard Canales. Richard Canales yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Isaac Hinguanzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Richard Canales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Great Totham's Arnoldo Alvarez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arnoldo Alvarez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Great Totham protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arnoldo Alvarez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Great Totham:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gomersal:s goal. Great Totham:s Richard Canales showed great skill when he stopped Edgardo Liborio:s penalty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Efren Erazo scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amilcar Santana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Efren Henriquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efren Erazo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Amilcar Santana skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Gomersal's Isaac Hinguanzo got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Efren Erazo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amilcar Ayala during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Great Totham. Patricio Gamero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amilcar Santana. 1-2. Benji Lozano hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. If Efren Erazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaac Hinguanzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Canales having to interfere. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Great Totham's goalkeeper Richard Canales, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amilcar Ayala struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Richard Canales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gomersal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Great Totham walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
