In the 7thth minute of the game Dennys Velis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matlock's Misael Guardado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Matlock fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Salcombe AFC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Raúl Messias, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Matlock's Misael Guardado. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abraham Sandoval during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abraham Sandoval hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Matlock's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Aguirrez came free, but Misael Guardado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, one of Matlock:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Matlock. If Dennys Velis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29thth minute of the game Dennys Velis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matlock's Misael Guardado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Misael Guardado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Aguirrez, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Mora was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Salcombe AFC's zone, Abraham Sandoval stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Murgas came out of the goal and Abraham Sandoval tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matlock's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Dennys Velis scored to the left of an out of position Misael Guardado, making the score, 0-4. Felipe Aguirrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Misael Guardado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennys Velis in the 62nd minute. Hector Murgas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Sandoval in the 64th minute of the match. Felipe Aguirrez struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Misael Guardado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salcombe AFC. Misael Guardado had great luck who in the 70thth minute grab hold of the ball when Felipe Aguirrez from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Aguirrez in the 75th minute of play forced Matlock's goalkeeper Misael Guardado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Félix Villatoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dennys Velis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. When Roberto Umanzor fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matlock's protests and gave Roberto Umanzor a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Umanzor kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Dennys Velis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Misael Guardado made a huge save. 98 minutes into the match, Matlock's goalkeeper Misael Guardado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Félix Villatoro. When the match was over Salcombe AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Matlock throughout the match.
