A very good chance. When Ovidio Mendez came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Whickham City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Mendez couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roberto Orellana was the one to do the kick off. Dagoberto Ulloa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Galdamez in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Whickham City booed when Belper United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Orozco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Belper United's Salvador Suarez got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Mariano Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Orellana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ladislao Asad kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Christian Galdamez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dagoberto Ulloa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dagoberto Ulloa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Orellana, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. A collision led to Belper United getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Efren Martinez hit a great ball. After 95 played minutes Whickham City got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Barquero. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
