Angel Villalobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darwen's Milton Palma couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kimpton. A collision led to Kimpton getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Waldir Sigaran hit a great ball. Kimpton's Leonel Salinas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Salguero in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustin Gomez in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Salinas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richard Ramirez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 24th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rony Santamaria. In the 29th minute Edgardo Salguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Salinas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Salinas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Gomez in the 36th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Henry Díaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kimpton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Darwen the free kick. Henry Díaz hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angel Villalobos made a kick off. Leonel Salinas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustin Gomez went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Angel Villalobos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Villalobos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Richard Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darwen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
