Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dagoberto Anaya started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With an all-out effort, Eastbourne's Esteban Aguilar threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Efren Alvarenga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 16 minutes in the game, Efren Alvarenga fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Esteban Aguilar having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Pablo Barraza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eastbourne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Barraza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Middridge Village's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Efren Alvarenga scored to the left of an out of position Esteban Aguilar, making the score, 1-0. Douglas Ruiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Anaya in the 33rd minute of the match. If Isaac Verdugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cristian Vasquez fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eastbourne's protests and gave Cristian Vasquez a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Efren Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eastbourne's supporters rose to their feet, but Efren Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Aguilar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Middridge Village booed when Eastbourne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Mena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute, Isaac Verdugo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 50 minutes, Efren Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eastbourne and the Middridge Village players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 50 played minutes Eastbourne got a freekick which was hit by Efren Alvarenga.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efren Alvarenga to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Pablo Barraza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dagoberto Anaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteban Aguilar came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Eastbourne's Pablo Barraza. But to his dismay, Pablo Barraza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Douglas Ruiz made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Isaac Verdugo sent off a good shot on target. 86 minutes into the match, Eastbourne's Pablo Barraza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteban Aguilar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Isaac Verdugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagoberto Anaya in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Douglas Ruiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Middridge Village's Esteban Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Barraza in the 97th minute of play. Middridge Village's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
