Marvin Liborio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Mauricio Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Mendez in the 7th minute of the match. Pedro Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Mauricio Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Claudio Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odir Contrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Copford getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Danilo Talia hit a great ball. Marvin Liborio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 24th minute, Luis Oporto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Claudio Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Danilo Villalobos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Copford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience was convinced that Claudio Guerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Odir Contrera was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. A collision led to Whitefield FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Max Quijada hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Danilo Villalobos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Copford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Villalobos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Santamaria to strike the kick off in the second half. If Pedro Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 minutes, Danilo Talia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Copford and the Whitefield FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Danilo Talia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Claudio Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. Pedro Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Odir Contrera was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Edgar Santamaria capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgar Santamaria really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Odir Contrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Santamaria, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Copford's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Santamaria came free, but Odir Contrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
