Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fidel Ulloa started the match with the kick off. Deris Collado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Douglas Noyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Withernsea United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! The audience thought a goal was coming when Deris Collado got free with Douglas Noyola in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Douglas Noyola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fidel Ulloa's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Deris Collado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Withernsea United's Shawn Amaya got a free kick in the 18th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Rudy Orellana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thurmaston's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Withernsea United the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Thurmaston:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Withernsea United:s goal. Leonel Moreno walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Withernsea United's Ulises Asad in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thurmaston's goalie prevented a goal. Withernsea United's Yasir Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yasir Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulises Asad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thurmaston's Alberto Guardado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Asad in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulises Asad was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Ulises Asad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Guardado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Fidel Ulloa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thurmaston's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Ulloa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Noyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Deris Collado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, Fidel Ulloa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Douglas Noyola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Fidel Ulloa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Noyola was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Alberto Guardado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Asad in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Yasir Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Withernsea United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yasir Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Thurmaston getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Dennys Santamaria hit a great ball. Deris Collado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Deris Collado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Withernsea United's Douglas Noyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Ulloa in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Thurmaston booed when Withernsea United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Rey didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fidel Ulloa in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Douglas Noyola saved Withernsea United from getting behind. Ulises Asad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Guardado having to interfere. Alberto Guardado had great luck who in the 97thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ulises Asad from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Thurmaston fans cheered their team off the field, for while Withernsea United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
