Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arturo Huezo kicked off to start the match. If Alejandro Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 19 played minutes Denholme got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Amaya. After a defensive mix-up in Denholme's zone, Alejandro Figueroa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Mondragon came out of the goal and Alejandro Figueroa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salvador Amaya charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Amaya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Salvador Amaya kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Englefield Green AFC's Amilcar Granados broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 26 played minutes Denholme got a freekick which was hit by Dennys Corrales. After having played for 28 minutes, Alejandro Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Englefield Green AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Figueroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute Alonso Orobio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes, Dennys Corrales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denholme and the Englefield Green AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alonso Orobio struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Oscar Mondragon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Englefield Green AFC. With a little luck, Englefield Green AFC's Ricardo Lozano got control of the ball when Mariano Guerrero tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Englefield Green AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Huezo came free, but Ricardo Lozano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Mariano Guerrero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denholme's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Guerrero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Lozano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alonso Orobio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alonso Orobio made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Denholme getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fidel Pineda hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute, Amilcar Granados sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Denholme's Oscar Mondragon didn't even have to move. Mariano Guerrero scored 1-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Lozano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Englefield Green AFC's Ricardo Lozano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Guerrero in the 59th minute of play. Denholme's Mariano Guerrero got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alonso Orobio took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Mondragon. Oscar Mondragon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 76 played minutes Denholme got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Pineda. Alejandro Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Oscar Mondragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, Denholme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Amaya to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Lozano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Guerrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Alonso Orobio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alonso Orobio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Mondragon came out and tried to block the shot, but Alonso Orobio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 95th minute.
