The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gabriel Aguirrez made the kick off in the second half. Dennys Ocampo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Molina having to interfere. In the 97th match minute, Eltham AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Erazo to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Long Eaton United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eltham AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
