The Braunton FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Alvarenga should have stopped the shot. Hugo Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Alvaro Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Alvarenga having to interfere. The supporters of Braunton FC booed when Portsmouth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Castillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Manuel Ocampo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Reyes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benji Amaya having to interfere. Hugo Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Manuel Ocampo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Alvarenga. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Daniel Reyes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braunton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Reyes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benji Amaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Bermudez made a kick off. Alvaro Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Braunton FC's zone, Miguel Guerrero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Alvarenga came out of the goal and Miguel Guerrero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Reyes couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, Francisco Talia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Portsmouth FC's Benji Amaya. Benji Amaya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Talia scored 2-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benji Amaya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th match minute, Portsmouth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Najarro to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Braunton FC's Francisco Talia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benji Amaya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Daniel Reyes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benji Amaya was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Bermudez in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Alvarenga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alvaro Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Portsmouth FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
