After a rather tough play, Crowthorne's Camilo Sandoval got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jose Alvarado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esteban Sifon in the 5th minute. Pablo Messias's late challenge caught a Crowthorne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Misael Santamaria in the 57th minute of play forced Bury St Edmunds's goalkeeper Oswaldo Morales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Morales came out of the goal and Esteban Rojas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esteban Rojas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oswaldo Morales came out and tried to block the shot, but Esteban Rojas slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 101st minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bury St Edmunds had won after a very even match.
