Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tewkesbury's Will Cerritos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Ronald Fuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Alvarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ronald Fuentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ronald Fuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Alvarado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Mena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guatepeque se va de MZ's Ronald Fuentes got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Will Cerritos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maciej Korzym read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Patricio Alvarado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Fuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Guatepeque se va de MZ's Ronald Fuentes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patricio Alvarado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Patricio Alvarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Mena in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Will Cerritos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maciej Korzym saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 23 in the game by Nicolás Dubon from a close distance when the talented Maciej Korzym managed to make a qualified save. Guatepeque se va de MZ's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Fuentes in the 32nd minute of play forced Tewkesbury's goalkeeper Patricio Alvarado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tewkesbury's Selvin Tobar got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Mena in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patricio Alvarado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Guatepeque se va de MZ booed when Tewkesbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selvin Tobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Alvarado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Fuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Arturo Mena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Alvarado came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Guatepeque se va de MZ's Ronald Fuentes. But to his dismay, Ronald Fuentes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Tewkesbury booed when Guatepeque se va de MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Arturo Mena made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Tewkesbury's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Glenn Zetzmann who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Glenn Zetzmann got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Patricio Alvarado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 55th minute, Saul Navas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Will Cerritos came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Tewkesbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Will Cerritos couldn't finish the play. Nicolás Dubon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maciej Korzym having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Mena in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patricio Alvarado saved Tewkesbury from getting behind. When Ronald Fuentes came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Guatepeque se va de MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronald Fuentes couldn't finish the play. If Arturo Mena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes, Guatepeque se va de MZ's Saul Galdamez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Patricio Alvarado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guatepeque se va de MZ reached it. Félix Oporto charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Félix Oporto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Guatepeque se va de MZ getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Félix Oporto hit a great ball. Maciej Korzym made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Cerritos in the 77th minute of play. With a little luck, Tewkesbury's Patricio Alvarado got control of the ball when Ronald Fuentes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arturo Mena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Alvarado was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Ronald Fuentes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guatepeque se va de MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronald Fuentes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Alvarado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Hidalgo charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaac Hidalgo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tewkesbury fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! In the 86thth minute of the game Glenn Zetzmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tewkesbury's Patricio Alvarado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baltazar Rivero hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ronald Fuentess short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Patricio Alvarado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arturo Mena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match Ronald Fuentes climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-4 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Patricio Alvarado. When the match was over Guatepeque se va de MZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tewkesbury throughout the match.
