Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zelvin Parada got the match started through his kick off. After 4 minutes, Ivan Villarreal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Accrington and the Basingstoke AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee ignored Accrington's protests and gave Ismael Mena a yellow card for diving instead. Ismael Mena hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Ladislao Menjivar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Ladislao Menjivar took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Diego Brizuela to make any attempt to save it. Diego Brizuela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Menjivar in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Basingstoke AFC's Rony Zaldaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diego Brizuela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Basingstoke AFC's Wilmer Vasquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zelvin Parada in the 24th minute of play. If Gilberto Renderos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Zaldaña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Diego Brizuela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zelvin Parada charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zelvin Parada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wilmer Vasquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zelvin Parada, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ivan Villarreal was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Diego Brizuela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Basingstoke AFC. Jairo Osorio hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Basingstoke AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Accrington had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
