In the 23rd match minute, Mitcham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Tobar to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Mitcham got a freekick which was hit by Efren Jimenez. Baltazar Gallardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Hernández, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes in the game, Joselito Ortiz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Humberto Sandoval having to interfere. Humberto Sandoval was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Joselito Ortiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joselito Ortiz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Andrés Bonilla took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Humberto Sandoval to make any attempt to save it. Humberto Sandoval made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Mondragon in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute Paolo Gomez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Gallardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry Hernández to strike the kick off in the second half. Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Baltazar Gallardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Hernández in the 69th minute of play. Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Giovani Mondragon got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Sandoval took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Mondragon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henry Hernández struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Baltazar Gallardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mitcham. Henry Hernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute Joselito Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Sandoval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovani Mondragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Adolfo Muñoz got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Sandoval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrés Bonilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Soul´s Anchor Tattoo fully deserved thier win.
