Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Henry Hernández started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, one of Mitcham:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mitcham. Ovidio Orozco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Sandoval having to interfere. Humberto Sandoval made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sarbelio Paredes in the 10th minute of play. Sandown FC's Sarbelio Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Efren Jimenez's late challenge caught a Sandown FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efren Jimenez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mitcham getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Efren Jimenez hit a great ball. Sarbelio Paredes took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Sandoval. Humberto Sandoval dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 28 minutes, Henry Hernández made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sandown FC's Mariano Hernández tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandown FC's Mariano Hernández proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Sandown FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Olmedo during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 37 minutes into the match, Mitcham's goal looked a bit too open when Sarbelio Paredes came free, but Humberto Sandoval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Libardo Chavez kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Mariano Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Hernández in the 43rd minute of the match. If Ovidio Orozco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Tobar hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 49 minutes, Ovidio Orozco put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Humberto Sandoval. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Ovidio Orozco made the kick off in the second half. The Mitcham fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Mitcham's Henry Hernández looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th match minute, Sandown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Henry Hernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Peredes kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Paolo Gomez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Hernández was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Sandown FC's Mariano Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Hernández in the 71st minute of play. Humberto Sandoval came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sandown FC's Ovidio Orozco. But to his dismay, Ovidio Orozco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 76th minute Henry Hernández shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Hernández received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mariano Hernández tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paolo Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Mitcham's Humberto Sandoval got control of the ball when Ovidio Orozco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ovidio Orozco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
