Ramon Toledano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Alvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Alberto Alvarez came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Macclesfield FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Alvarez couldn't finish the play. Arturo Orellana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Rodriguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Will Meza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Durham AFC's zone, Paolo Liborio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Toledano came out of the goal and Paolo Liborio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Durham AFC defense, Paolo Liborio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramon Toledano. The Durham AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramon Toledano should have stopped the shot. After some careless play in the Macclesfield FC defense, Will Meza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arturo Orellana. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Rene Rodriguez made the kick off in the second half. Ramon Toledano made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Paolo Liborio sent off a good shot on target. The referee ignored Macclesfield FC's protests and gave Arnoldo Salamanca a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Paolo Liborio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macclesfield FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Liborio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Toledano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paolo Liborio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Ramon Toledano made a huge save. Victor Rivero's late challenge caught a Macclesfield FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Rivero helped the player get up and apologised. Efrain Ayala hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Macclesfield FC's Arturo Orellana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Will Meza in the 94th minute of play. Paolo Liborio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
