After a rather tough play, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Rolando Guevara got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 14 minutes, Carmelo Sifon made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cóban Imperial's Milton Padilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Milton Padilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Anaya in the 17th minute of the match. After 24th play minutes Carmelo Sifon shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Milton Padilla and just under the crossbar into goal. The Real Madrid de Guatemala fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Real Madrid de Guatemala's Carmelo Sifon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 36th minute Emiliano Anaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milton Padilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Sosa charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Sosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Ernesto Sosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Rolando Guevara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milton Padilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Cóban Imperial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Ancheta to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Cristian Santamaria notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Cóban Imperial's Milton Padilla. Milton Padilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abraham Sandoval to make the kick off. When Carmelo Sifon came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Real Madrid de Guatemala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Sifon couldn't finish the play. With his leg Milton Padilla managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Real Madrid de Guatemala's Carmelo Sifon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Cóban Imperial's zone, Cristian Santamaria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milton Padilla came out of the goal and Cristian Santamaria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carmelo Sifons short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Milton Padilla to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 59 in the game by Carmelo Sifon from a close distance when the talented Milton Padilla managed to make a qualified save. Cóban Imperial's players were relieved. Carmelo Sifon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emerson Ancheta hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Cóban Imperial's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Carmelo Sifon scored to the left of an out of position Milton Padilla, making the score, 0-7. 66 minutes into the game, Carmelo Sifon lined in a short shot 0-8 behind a frustrated Milton Padilla. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Santamaria in the 71st minute of play forced Cóban Imperial's goalkeeper Milton Padilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Carmelo Sifon made a precise shot to the right of Milton Padilla. Cóban Imperial's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. With his leg Milton Padilla managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Real Madrid de Guatemala's Carmelo Sifon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Cóban Imperial getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Rudy Bonilla hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 0-10 when Carmelo Sifon sped through Cóban Imperial's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Milton Padilla. Milton Padilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Sifon in the 86th minute. Carmelo Sifons short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Milton Padilla to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Milton Padilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Santamaria, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Cóban Imperial's Augusto Mendoza got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute, Carmelo Sifon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Milton Padilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Real Madrid de Guatemala's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
