When Aurelio Cubero came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Los Chiles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Cubero couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Los Chiles getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bennie Esquivel hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Macho Lehman notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Los Chiles's Ramon Burgos. Ramon Burgos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Paraiso getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ismael Medina hit a great ball. If Aurelio Cubero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Carlos Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Burgos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irvin Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Pineda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Pineda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Irvin Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Paraiso's Maikol Varela got a free kick in the 38th minute. Leonel Lara struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Irvin Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Chiles. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraiso's goalkeeper Irvin Arce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Los Chiles's Ramon Burgos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Nuñez in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Pineda to strike the kick off in the second half. If Carlos Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Paraiso's zone, Mariano Pineda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irvin Arce came out of the goal and Mariano Pineda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Irvin Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Cubero in the 57th minute. After 59 minutes, Macho Lehman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraiso and the Los Chiles players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los Chiles booed when Paraiso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macho Lehman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irvin Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Pineda in the 65th minute of the match.
