Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alejandro Chavarria made the kick off which started today's match. 6 minutes into the game, David Camacho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Herradura FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Rita FC the free kick. David Camacho hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Alejandro Chavarria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Santa Rita FC's goalkeeper Fabio Pinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Oreamuno. Virgilio Segura kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. A hard shot 19 in the game by Marco Oreamuno from a close distance when the talented Fabio Pinto managed to make a qualified save. Santa Rita FC's players were relieved. Fabio Pinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Minor Caballero's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 23rdth minute of the game Minor Caballero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Rita FC's Fabio Pinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marco Oreamuno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Pinto having to make a save. Marco Oreamuno took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Pinto. Fabio Pinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Minor Caballero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Oreamuno might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Oreamuno ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Minor Caballero to make the kick off. Herradura FC's Saul Merino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Herradura FC from getting a goal against them. Alejandro Chavarria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saul Merino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Chavarria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Marco Oreamuno fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Herradura FC's protests and gave Marco Oreamuno a yellow card for diving instead. Herradura FC's Marco Oreamuno got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 74 played minutes, Herradura FC's Valentin Azofeifa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabio Pinto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Herradura FC reached it. In the 80th minute Alejandro Chavarria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Merino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Santa Rita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Minor Caballero came free, but Fabio Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Herradura FC's Heriberto Leiton got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 91st minute of the match, Alejandro Chavarria tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saul Merino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
