Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Orosi FC's Anacleto Fuentes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Martin Williams made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Eladio Peña sent off a good shot on target. After 8 played minutes Orosi FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Mesen. A collision led to Heredia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Antonio Gomez hit a great ball. Anacleto Fuentes might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Williams. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anacleto Fuentes ran back to his position shaking his head. Martin Vanderlat hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Eladio Peñas short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Martin Williams to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Anacleto Fuentes came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Orosi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Fuentes couldn't finish the play. Alvin Solera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eladio Matarrita having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alvin Solera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heredia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvin Solera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eladio Matarrita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anacleto Fuentes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Williams having to make a save. In the 29th minute, Eladio Peña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Heredia's Adrian Barboza got a free kick in the 35th minute. Eladio Peña could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Martin Williams made a huge save. Rafael Davila's late challenge caught a Heredia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Davila helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Orosi FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Davila. Martin Williams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Fuentes in the 42nd minute of play. If Eladio Peña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvin Solera to make the kick off. The supporters of Heredia booed when Orosi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Guillen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Otto Sarmiento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eladio Matarrita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rene Mora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Eladio Matarrita made a huge save. Eladio Peña struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Martin Williams didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orosi FC. Heredia's Martin Williams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Peña in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Rene Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heredia's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Mora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eladio Matarrita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Orosi FC booed when Heredia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alain Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Orosi FC's Pascual Madriz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Heredia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
