Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benito Castro started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Felipe Fonseca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vicente Matute, 1-0. After 6 played minutes Golfito got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Matos. Stanley Centeno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mario Barboza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Matute having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Barboza in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Carvajal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orosi's Mariano Carvajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Barboza in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Orosi's Angelin Barboza got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Nelson Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mariano Carvajal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Alvin Oreamuno fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orosi's protests and gave Alvin Oreamuno a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Orosi getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Alvin Oreamuno hit a great ball. Chico Garita hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Keylor Blen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Orosi getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alejandro Merino hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

60 minutes into the match, Orosi's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Barboza came free, but Mariano Carvajal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Nelson Matos made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Carvajal. Orosi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ernesto Davila's late challenge caught a Golfito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Davila helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Orosi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Wilbert Lobo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Barboza in the 82nd minute of play forced Orosi's goalkeeper Mariano Carvajal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Matute having to interfere. Orosi's Benito Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelson Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mariano Carvajal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Castro in the 91st minute of play forced Golfito's goalkeeper Vicente Matute to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Golfito's Nelson Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelson Matos kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 99thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Orosi's keeper Mariano Carvajal was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The Golfito supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Golfito would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
