Arsenio Maldonado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mainor Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Playa Hermosa's Rafa Viquez got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Dominical FC's Efrain Saenz got control of the ball when Rafa Viquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Dominical FC booed when Playa Hermosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alain Echavarria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Playa Hermosa's Mainor Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Maldonado in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Olman Arrieta made the kick off in the second half. After 60 minutes Playa Hermosa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner.
