Alain Pinto struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Elias Morera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orotina. After 8 played minutes Montezuma AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Arce. The supporters of Montezuma AFC booed when Orotina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willy Sanabria didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Willy Sanabria during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Orotina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! When Anselmo Oreamuno fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orotina's protests and gave Anselmo Oreamuno a yellow card for diving instead. Anselmo Oreamuno hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Montezuma AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Pinto came free, but Elias Morera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Guzman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rex Oreamuno charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rex Oreamuno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rex Oreamuno hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Alain Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Rex Oreamuno was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 38 played minutes Orotina got a freekick which was hit by Rex Oreamuno. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anacleto Maroto in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baltazar Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

If Mainor Kamakiri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Orotina's goalkeeper Baltazar Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Martin Guzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Cruz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mainor Kamakiri during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Orotina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mainor Kamakiri to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Willy Sanabria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salvador Alfaro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Chamberlain during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Chunche Davila came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Orotina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chunche Davila couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Tomas Chamberlain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chunche Davila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Orotina's goalkeeper Baltazar Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anacleto Maroto. Anselmo Oreamuno kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The Montezuma AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
